non www version redirect

Currently the site just throws an error if it gets a url that isn't in the url list for portals. I think we could throw the www on if it isn't there and redirect with a 301. There is some 301 code in the helpers folder although I think this could be done in the service layer instead of a html helper in this situation.

Maybe also if the unmatched url does have the www and it doesn't exist just redirect to the default portal.

i personally handle this via urlrewriter, but it would be a nice feature.

from seo perspective, you want to always treat your site as either www or no www... dont let both work, and redirect to the one you pick.

Since a site owner could choose either route, we would need to implement this using a target URL for a portal, and then support a list of uRl's to redirect from if encountered. I need to think on this one a bit

Ya, I always just put a redirect script in the default website on the box but I think some people would like to do it through the application probably.
